Home Resource announces the performance of The Year of Magical Thinking on January 27th & 28th. The show will be performed Roxanne Fay.
The book was published in 2005 and won a Pulitzer Prize. The book was adapted into a play by the author Ms Didion in 2007 and Vanessa Redgrave received a Tony nomination for her performance in her show on Broadway.
Ms Didion describes the movement of ones life through shock and grief as a madness; a madness that allows the individual to deal with reality’s insistence that life continues after a devastating loss, even though it seems impossible.
Roxanne Fay said that she wanted to do the piece because “The language is so rich and the truth at the heart of Didion’s story is so universal. There are moments in our lives when we must surrender and just let go.”
Roxanne Fay performed the Life of Gala Dali at Home Resource last year and was absolutely amazing. In addition to that, Roxanne was the runner up for the “Best Actress in a Performance” for 2011 for the entire state of Florida.
