District 9 (2009) Rated R, 112 minutes. This thought-provoking and exciting film depicts what happens after alien refugees become second-class citizens of earth as they are forced to live in militarized ghetto squalor. An interesting blend of alien invasion and apartheid – with plenty of gore.
