From Here to Eternity (1953) Not Rated, 118 minutes. Based on the bestselling novel by James Jones, this World War II drama chronicles the lives and loves of soldiers on an army base in Honolulu just days before the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor. Incorporating actual WWII footage, the all-star film and winner of eight Academy Awards features Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, Frank Sinatra, Donna Reed and Deborah Kerr.
