Community Haven To Benefit From Cobrooke Plan.
Cobrooke has completed a master plan for Community Haven that provides a roadmap for the growth and vision of the Community Haven campus. Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, Inc. has empowered the lives of children, teens, and adults with disabilities one person at a time for 60 years on their beautiful 32 acre campus.
The master plan provides infrastructure clarity and defines the residential/educational/vocational program areas of the campus. A key component of the plan is the creation of a new “Main Street” that serves as a circulation spine connecting program areas terminating at the heart of the campus, a new village green and amphitheater.
The work will commence in multiple phases and include several new group homes, a senior aging-inplace center, a new Selby Academy, administration building and expanded facilities for Haven Industries and its retail component Upscale Resale. The plan is presently under county review.
Community Haven creates solutions and changes the lives of children, teens, and adults with disabilities by providing a variety of specialized services and programs including Early Childhood Intervention, Occupational Habilitation, Work Force Development, Employment Opportunities and Community Living.
