MSC Foundation Awards Mid-Year Grants

33 Not-For-Profit Organizations Receive Grants.

The MSC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Michael Saunders & Company, has awarded its 2014 mid-year charitable grants. Grants totaling $34,250 were accepted by leaders of 33 not-for-profit organizations whose charitable activities operate mainly at the grass-roots level in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties. Drayton Saunders, the firm’s president and foundation vice president, presided over the grants presentation.

Grant recipients in this latest cycle of charitable outreach by the MSC Foundation’s include ALSO Youth, Inc., Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota County, Community Haven, Crossroads AMI Kids, Englewood Incubation Center, Inc. Englewood Helping Hand, Inc., Englewood Meals on Wheels, Inc., Family Partnership Center, Family Promise of Sarasota, Inc., Feeding Empty Little Tummies (FELT), The Florida Center for Early Childhood, Florida Studio Theatre, Foundation for Dreams, Inc., Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County, Habitat for Humanity Sarasota, Inc., HOPE Family Services, Inc., The Island School, Inc., Jewish Family & Children’s Services of the Sun Coast, Inc., Just for Girls Academy, Manatee County Habitat for Humanity, Miracle League Manasota, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., More Too Life, Safe Place & Rape Crisis Center, Inc., Selah Freedom, Inc., Sertoma Club of Bradenton, Southeastern Guide Dogs, Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc., Turning Points Community Coalition on Homelessness, Venice Nokomis United Methodist Child Care Center, Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice, Inc. and Yummy Stuff Club, Inc.

Each grant is made possible through the generosity of participating agents, who voluntarily donate a portion of the commissions earned on each real estate transaction; as well as by the company’s staff and leadership team—who contribute through voluntary payroll deductions throughout the year.
