Local Band Releases First Single

The Western Sons To Open For Sam Woolf Concert.

Local Country-Rock band, The Western Sons, comprised of Bradenton native Tyler Cohenour (20) and his fellow University of South Florida students Garrett Carr (21) and Blake Rigdon (20), both from Cocoa Beach, have released their first single, “Tennessee My Way”. Lead singer, Carr, describes the band’s sound as, “Country-rock, but with an edge – Due to our musical influences spanning such a wide spectrum, our sound has sort of grown into a collection of genres.” The single is available at iTunes. This talented group recorded their debut song at the Del Couch Music Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps emerging artists get a head start in their musical careers, and is most notably recognized for its role in the success of American Idol finalist Sam Woolf.  The band will be opening for Sam’s hometown concert September 27th, at IMG Academy’s new stadium (53rd Ave W & Bollettieri Blvd, Bradenton, FL 34210).

The trio has already caught the attention of Grammy Award-Winning producer Willie Baker who has worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Menudo, Justin Timberlake, along with Pink, who he discovered and developed. While they cannot release much information per the infancy of their relationship with Baker, the band explains that they have some exciting plans.
