New College Of Florida 1 of 200 Colleges That Pay You Back

New College Named to Princeton Review’s “Colleges That Pay You Back”.

New College of Florida is one of just 200 “Colleges That Pay You Back”, a new national ranking released by The Princeton Review. “Colleges That Pay You Back” is a new guidebook and ranking system for The Princeton Review, reflecting academic quality, cost to students and families, and salaries earned by graduates. New College of Florida provides a good “bang for your buck,” according to the Princeton Review’s profile of the college.

New College was one of four Florida State University System institutions to make the list, with University of Florida, University of Central Florida and Florida State University. The private University of Miami was the only other Florida college to make the list. No other colleges on Florida’s gulf coast were named to the list.

“The combination of NCF’s incredibly low tuition and rigorous, individualized academic program make it a tremendous value for both in-state and out-of-state students,” the book reports. New College benefits from a near-perfect score on academics, 97 out of 100 possible points, and strong scores for having interesting and accessible professors.

The Princeton Review also noted the “impressive outcomes” from New College’s strong advising system and alumni network, “as evidenced by the forty-four Fulbright Scholarships that have been awarded to NCF students since 2001.” The guidebook also cited New College’s affordability. “Even in the era of rising higher education costs, tuition at New College of Florida is still incredibly low,” it writes. The estimated in-state tuition and fees for 2015-16 at New College are $7,040.
