Fashion Designer Max Azria has listed Maison du Soleil, in Beverly Hills, CA, for $85 Million. The traditional-style home was originally built in 1939 by legendary architect Paul Williams, who “helped shape the landscape of classic Hollywood”. The home was purchased in 2005 and a reported $30 Million was invested in the renovation.
The 60-room, 30,000 sq ft retreat sits on a picturesque 3 acres and features an open floor plan, a master suite with closets the size of many apartments, a kitchen with a walk-in fridge, a 6,000 sq ft movie theater and a gym. The office features a gold-leaf ceiling.
On the outside the estate features a glassed-in tennis court, edgeless pool, Moroccan-style bathhouse and spa, and five distinct gardens.
The French native founded the fashion-forward design house BCBG Max Azria and is chair of the global conglomerate BCBG Max Azria Group, which includes some 20 designer brands. Along with designing runway fashion lines, Azria has namesake retail stores around the world.
