Going to the Sarasota Powerboat Festivities?
The festivities for the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix are underway! Just a reminder of the hours for our area beaches. Please share this information with your neighbors, family and friends.
Beaches open at 5 a.m.
Parking lots open at 6:30 a.m.
Set up for chairs, umbrellas, etc. can begin at sunrise (approximately 6:40 a.m.)
****No personal belongings can be left on the beach overnight****
Following is a link to a parking map from the City of Sarasota to help you find parking for the Block Party and Boat Parade on Friday and fireworks on Saturday. http://www.sarasotagov.org/PDF/POD/Downtown_map.pdf [1] (The map says June 2015 for the State Street Garage, but it may not be ready.)
There is a free shuttle running from 9AM to 6PM Saturday and Sunday from the Palm Avenue garage to Lido Key Public Beach.
