Firm Achieves Tier 1 and Tier 2 Rankings in Sarasota Metro Area.
The law firm of Fergeson, Skipper, Shaw, Keyser, Baron & Tirabassi, P.A., announced it was named a 2016 Best Law Firm by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. The firm was ranked in Tier 1 for Trusts and Estates Law and Tier 2 for Tax Law in the Sarasota Metro area. Ranked firms, presented in tiers, are listed on a national and/or metropolitan scale. Receiving a tier designation is based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.
To be eligible for a ranking a law firm must have at least one attorney included on The Best Lawyers In America© list. Shareholders James O. Fergeson, Jr., J. Ronald Skipper, and Richard R. Gans were selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers In America. In addition, Richard R. Gans was also named Best Lawyers 2016 “Lawyer of the Year” for Trusts and Estates Law in the Sarasota Metro area. All three attorneys are board certified by The Florida Bar, have been recognized as Florida Super Lawyers® by Super Lawyers, the Thomson Reuters lawyer rating service, and each holds an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating from the attorney rating site Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating available for an attorney’s legal ability and professional ethics.
