Benefiting The Sheriff’s Activities League
On Saturday, October 10th, 12 teams sponsored by area businesses spent the day at Knight Trail Park in Nokomis competing in four tactical events of skill, endurance and strategy. The 6th Annual Corporate SWAT Challenge gave participants a day of fun in a challenging but team-building atmosphere while raising money for a great cause – the Sheriff’s Activities League (SAL) of Sarasota County.
The Sheriff’s Activities League of Sarasota County is the non-profit branch of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office that partners with public schools, afterschool programs, as well as civic and other youth-related organizations to provide a variety of experiential education opportunities to youth throughout Sarasota County. SAL programs are facilitated by deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, and offer unique opportunities for young people to develop positive relationships with local law enforcement personnel.
