$200 Million Modern Mixed Used Waterfront Project Proposed.
CORE Development, co-developer of The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota and the world-renowned golf community, The Concession, announced the proposed development of Cassia Cay, a modern mixed-use complex featuring six to eight waterfront restaurants, retail and office space, and luxury condominiums. The development will be located at 7914 South Tamiami Trail, and on a parcel located just south of Holiday Drive in the same area.
“Cassia Cay will give Sarasota a new perspective of living and dining on the waterfront,” stated developer Kevin Daves. “A Florida rediscovery of Sarasota Bay, this project is a logical progression for Sarasota County and just a short drive from Casey Key, The Oaks, Siesta Key and Palmer Ranch.” Groundbreaking is estimated to occur in late 2016 with an expected completion date in early 2018.
