To A New Year!

Once again we sit here and look back at another year passing us by. To some the New Year is a time to party, watch a few football games, and maybe make a few resolutions (Knowing deep down inside the resolutions won’t stick). It is all those things for us, but the New Year is also a time for reflection, a yardstick for measuring what I’ve learned so far, not just in the last year but all along the winding and unpredictable road called life.
We will be optimists about this New Year, 2016. January 1st marks a new beginning, a chance to look at the world afresh and to step into the new day and new year boldly. The New Year is a symbol of renewal and on this occasion we should clear our thoughts and refocus our energies. On New Year’s Day, let us all take a moment and just breathe. Pause in what you are doing and set aside where you’ve been and where you are going. In this moment reflect on the here and now.
It is today which will form tomorrow, and tomorrow which will form the future!
