New College Names Dean of Student Affairs

Robin Williamson Now Dean of Student Affairs.

New College of Florida [1] has named Robin M. Williamson, Ph.D., as its dean of student affairs. Williamson has served since September 2012 as assistant dean of student development at Texas Christian University, a private institution in suburban Fort Worth with about 8,600 undergraduate students. At New College, she will oversee residence life, student organizations, student activities, orientation and other programs.

“Robin’s demonstrated record of success over her two decades of experience in college student services make her an ideal choice for our dean of student affairs,” said New College President Don O’Shea. “When she visited New College, everyone she met– students, faculty and staff– was excited about her energy and her understanding of what our campus needs. We’re very pleased to have Robin join our community.”

At TCU, Williamson oversaw programs including the TCU Leadership Center, Office of Student Organizations, Academic Orientation and First Year Experience. Her previous positions at TCU included senior director of student development services, associate director of administration, and director of community service.
