Video To Raise Awareness About ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Salt & Light Productions announced the release of a powerful new video they created for Kevin Swan and his non-profit organization, A Life Story Foundation.
Their team met Kevin just 17 months after he was diagnosed with ALS. More commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, ALS attacks the brain and spinal cord cells needed to control the muscles in one’s body, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and ultimately, respiratory failure. Currently, there is no cure for ALS, and existing treatments only extend the lives of people battling ALS for a few months.
This coming Saturday, October 15th, is Yoga Day for ALS. Thousands of people across the United States will be heading to their local yoga studio to raise awareness about ALS and raise funds for ALS research. The Salt & Light Productions team created the video for A Life Story Foundation to promote this important event.
Juxtaposing yoga, a discipline which teaches control over the body, with ALS, a disease which takes away all control of the body, the short promo creates an emotionally powerful message that we hope will move viewers to take part in this day.
