Back by popular demand, famed African American artist Dane Tilghman brings a collection of paintings from his Jazz, Sports and Old South Americana series to the [blank] slate gallery with a portion of the proceeds from opening weekend sales benefiting the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe.
Born in 1957, in a little town called West Chester, which is located about twenty-five miles outside of Philadelphia, PA, Dane Tilghman would become one of America’s most sought after African-American artists of his time.
With over thirty works on view, Tilghman brings a very exciting mix in style and subject matter to one of Sarasota’s newest art galleries. The exhibit will feature his “Sports” (for all Spring Training fans), “Americana” and “Jazz & Blues” series.
