Historical Society Of Sarasota County To Host Sarasota City Commission At-Large Campaign.

Jen Ahearn-Koch and the “Vote for Jen Campaign Team” will hold an official campaign launch party at The Historical Society of Sarasota County in Pioneer Park, 1260 12th Street in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday, January 14 from 5-6:30pm. The launch party is open to the public and planned in celebration of Jen Ahearn-Koch’s official qualification on Monday, January 9, 2017, to run for Sarasota City Commission At-Large. The Campaign Launch Party offers a chance for guests to get to know Jen, and the campaign team, while enjoying cheese & wine, juice, face painting for kids, and tours of the Crocker Memorial Church (1901) and the Bidwell-Wood House (1882), one of the oldest residence in Sarasota County and home of the Historical Society of Sarasota County.

After devoting two decades to the community of Sarasota, former City of Sarasota Planning Board Member, Tahiti Park Neighborhood President, and STOP! Steering Committee Member, Jen Ahearn-Koch is ready to continue working for the citizens of Sarasota and is focused on Quality of Life issues through a comprehensive vision in three distinct areas: Community, Connectivity, and Commerce.

Community: Quality development with an inclusive public process; Evidence-based homeless programs supporting permanent solutions; Supporting the Parks Department, tree protection program, and canopy street programs.
