James M. Towery & Associates (JMTA) mantra is “The Art & Science of Design with Nature.” JMTA has been providing residential design and consulting services throughout Florida and the Caribbean for over 30 years. They are involved in all phases of residential design from conceptual design through landscape management quality control.
Meet James M. Towery, “Jim”, an avid tennis player and devoted family man. Jim founded James M. Towery & Associates in 1989. As a graduate of Michigan State University, he has over 30 years’ experience in the design/build area of Landscape Architecture. He has worked on numerous golf course communities, resorts, commercial projects and residential estate throughout the state of Florida, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Belize.
Like an Artist who paints beautifully on canvas, Jim designs one of a kind landscapes & hardscapes like know other. As a licensed Registered Landscape Architect in Florida (RLA #617) as well as a Certified Arborist (FL-9255A), Certified Landscape Contractor (State of Florida #10) and a Certified Professional Horticulturist (State of Florida #6658) he takes pride in his extensive knowledge of conceptual color renderings, site evaluation, field design, construction supervisor, scheduling and plant material selection, all essential for a successful design/build project.
Built on the philosophy that with the use of good design and proper materials James M. Towery & Associates can create outdoor landscapes that are not static, but change with the seasons.

Meet Michael P. Duke, Chairman – an avid golfer and devoted family man. He started in the industry over 35 years ago with a truck, a mower and some general landscape equipment. In 2001, after growing and selling a successful business on the east coast of Florida, Mike and his family relocated to the Lee County area where he started Juniper. Mike’s commitment to provide the best value and an on time project elevated Juniper from a small custom landscape operation with just a few employees to SW FL’s biggest landscape firm. This combination of professional expertise and personal service is what ranked them in 2016 as one of the top 50 landscape firms in the United States by Lawn & Landscape magazine.
Brandon Duke, President, joined Juniper in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Business Management from Liberty University. Brandon grew up in the landscape industry. Creating an environment has always been his passion and his creative nature has transformed the way Juniper does business today. Under Brandon’s leadership Juniper has experienced year over year growth. He has ushered in the new generation of Juniper talent and changed the way they do business today. Juniper’s design team offers full service landscape services.
