Program Schedule
Images of fish can be found throughout the Center for Asian Art as they are an important symbol in both China and Japan. Today, we will be creating our own fish images using paint and rubber fish replicas through a method called gyotaku, a traditional Japanese method of printing fish which has now transitioned into a beautiful art form.

Where: The Ringling

Join them for a special ROAR series designed for older children, ages 5 to 7! In this special series, you will visit a museum venue and read a story in the museum followed by an art activity.

Tickets will be available two weeks before each program.
There is a $2 ticket required per child, and this fee gives one child and up to two adults access to the featured venue for the remainder of the day.
Participants should meet in the Visitors Pavilion.
Caregivers must remain with the group throughout the program and are encouraged to participate!

Program Schedule
In today’s ROAR for Big Kids, we will be reading the book Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth by Sanjay Patel and making homemade ladoo, a sweet treat that originated in India.

Kids Quest (ages 8-12) @ 1:00pm

Kids Quests are family-friendly and participatory museum tours for visitors ages 8 to 12. Kids Quests are facilitated by a museum educator and are approximately 45 minutes in length. Kids Quest tickets are $2 per child and give your family admission to the featured venue of the rest of the day.
