What Does Detox Mean To You?

Ism: Denoting a system, principle, or ideological movement or denoting a pathological condition. Your choice.
Kimism: Some people say I am doing too many things at once. I say I’m planting a lot of seeds!

Detox is a buzz word these days. We envision certain practices when it is heard.
Juicing – Restrictions – Suffering – Starving

It doesn’t have to be that way. You can detox daily by making small changes over time regarding what you put in and on your body.

Detox not only has to do with what we feed ourselves it is also about reducing the amount of work the body has to do to process what we are putting in and on ourselves. The more our body has to work to break down and use or remove waste the more we tax our vessels and organs causing them to age quicker.

Luckily there are many natural strategies that we can do to support healthy aging and healing. Our body has natural paths and processes it goes through to return to a state of optimal functioning. We have the ability to learn this medical knowledge and apply it as often as possible to manage our health holistically using natural resources and strategies.

1. Movement. I do not just mean move more. There are certain steps that need to be taken when looking to get certain outcomes. If you are looking to strengthen then one would seek out lifting weights. If you are looking to improve your cardio, you look to walking or a treadmill. Where do you look when you want to detox?

My detox yoga lifestyle program helps move your body with the intention of supporting natural processes through spinal alignment, breath, and sequencing. I created detox yoga therapy to teach others how they can influence the way the body naturally supports moving blood and lymph to the heart for cleansing and removal.

2. Intermittent fasting. Let’s face it; fasting is truly difficult for some of us. The thought of not eating anything for days scared me. That was when I thought food was my only energy source. And I had minimal energy as it was and ate a lot of food. Intermittent fasting is refraining from eating food for 12 to 18 hours on a regular basis. I have found that I may only require one meal a day sometimes if I follow my Simply Cooked drink and food style plan. Overnight till lunch time is an easy time to try. Drink water, detox teas and take your supplements in the morning on a empty stomach for maximum absorption. Liposome technology improves the bioavailability of nutrients!

3. Explore alternative therapies with a holistic focus as we are more than just individual body parts that need to be addressed. Complimentary strategies work alongside other strategies to support and influence each other maximizing the benefits. Most therapies have a home program that can be taught. Seek out knowledgeable professionals that want to teach you how to follow up at home. In other words, Do It Yourself with support from educated professionals. If you love infrared saunas but cannot receive treatments regularly there is a D.I.Y. Tip for that. Use the sun’s natural resources and enjoy an early morning sun salutation and late afternoon beach walk to give your body near infrared radiation form the sun to support rejuvenation at a cellular level.
