8 Months of New Detours Loom Large!
Starting at 11 p.m. Thursday, January 2nd, the westbound on-ramp that connects State Road 70 to the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 will close, forcing detours the next eight months.
Instead of taking the SR 70 westbound on-ramp, motorists should access I-75 southbound by making a left turn at the traffic signal and taking the eastbound on-ramp.
The closure is part of the $81 million project to improve a 7-mile stretch of I-75, from north of University Parkway to south of State Road 64. The project began last year and is scheduled to run into 2021.
