All Faiths Food Bank Campaign Kicks Off Today. All Faiths Food Bank launches its Campaign Against Summer Hunger today. The campaign runs through May 9th, coinciding with the day of the National Letter Carriers Food Drive. More than 21,000 Sarasota County students are eligible for free and reduced lunches that aren’t otherwise available during the summer months. All Faiths Collects 766,253 Pounds Of Food. All Faiths Food Bank’s Campaign Against Summer Hunger surpassed all expectations and raised an unprecedented $1.1 million in funds and 766,253 pounds of food to feed children and families this summer. The Campaign began on April 1, 2014 and culminated on May 10 with the Letter Carriers Food Drive. Help Needy Children Not Go Hungry This Summer. The HuB is hosting a luncheon at The Francis in downtown, Sarasota to raise awareness around the Campaign Against Summer Hunger (SkipALunchLuncheon). Yes, we will be skipping lunch. Why? Because 21,000 kids in Sarasota County will have to skip lunch every day if we are not successful with this campaign. No child should be hungry.
