Internationally Renowned Stylist Sheila Venancia Joins Lourdes Nail And Hair Studio.

Lourdes Nail and Hair Studio announced that Master Designer of the stars, Sheila Venancia, has joined the salon. Venancia brings over a decade of distinguished national and international experience to the Studio, situated in the heart of the Sarasota’s Rosemary District.

“We are thrilled to bring Sheila onboard,” says Lourdes Castillo, owner and master nail stylist. “Her specialties,non-toxic Japanese hair straightening, hair extensions, and high-end modern styling, are a cut above anything we’ve offered in the past. Her creativity and energy is fantastic!”

Originally from Brazil, Venancia trained with leading international hair professionals, including Steiner Academy of London, California Hair Company and Jacques e Janine. She was an instructor for Centro Tecnico Schwarzkopf and in Brasilia City opened her own salon in 2003. In 2007, she joined the 5-star cruise line, Costa Crociere, where she created thousands of sophisticated styles for dinner galas and fashion shows. Her travels took her to more than 85 countries, where she gained an understanding of and flair for international fashion and beauty trends.

“I have worked around the world with so many wonderful people who really wanted a new look. I love working with clients to bring out their best. My motto is:  If you can’t say ‘I love my hair,’ you need a new hairstylist!” 

In Brazil, Venancia rose among the top-ranking hair and makeup artists, catapulting her into the celebrity arena. Former clients include Krisna Stefenon, Miss Brazil, Fafa de Belem, singer; and actresses Isabela Garcia and Dira Paes. Her work has been featured on Brazilian television shows such as TV Taiff and the Wilma Magalhaes Show and in magazines and newspapers such as You Brasil, Script, Foco, and Correio Brasiliense. 

After traveling the world, what brings Venancia to Sarasota? “I fell in love, first with the city and then with my husband,” she says. “I can’t wait to bring my passion for beauty and fashion to the greater Sarasota area right here at Lourdes Nail and Hair Studio!”
