Columbia Restaurant Gives Back Community Harvest Support Suncoast Charities for Children (SCC) when dining at Columbia Restaurant by mentioning Community Harvest and selecting SCC as the recipient of your donation during the month of September. Through this annual September program, Community Harvest, the Columbia Restaurant donates 5% of all guests’ lunch and dinner checks in the form of gift certificates to charitable organizations chosen by the guests. Woodstock, A Pivitol Point In American Culture. Woodstock was an American music festival held August 15–18, 1969, which attracted an estimated audience of 400,000-500,000. What began as a paid event drew so many attendees from across the world that the fences were torn down and it became a free concert open to the public. Billed as “an Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music”, it was held at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York, 43 miles (70 km) southwest of Woodstock.
