Cat Depot Partners With Florida State Animal Response Coalition. Are you ready to help animals during disasters? Take the next step and become a Disaster Animal Responder. The Florida State Animal Response Coalition will hold an Awareness Level Small Animal Sheltering volunteer training class on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 8:00am-6pm, at Cat Depot. The class will provide the knowledge needed to work in an emergency animal shelter, and give individuals the expertise and practical experience required to become a professional disaster animal responder. Habitat For Humanity Welcomes The Kasselmanns. On Thursday September 10, 2015 at noon Habitat for Humanity Sarasota will dedicate a home to Denise Kasselmann and her family. In January 2015, volunteers began to replace the exterior siding, update the entire electrical system, install new energy star appliances and replace the landscaping. The home also includes a new air conditioning system and roof; new carpet and tile was also installed.
