January 16, 2009 Villa Verde Event
Villa Verde Event.
Starting off the New Year in full swing, REAL Magazine’s publisher Ed Bertha brought together a hundred of Sarasota’s leading real estate agents and sponsors for another incredible networking event. Hosted by Michael Saunders & Company’s agent, Deborah Beacham at her remarkable Villa Verde listing. Deborah gave a wonderful overview of the spectacular waterfront Bird Key estate. The stunning Villa Verde provided a picturesque backdrop for the day’s proceedings including; networking, educational presentations and charitable fundraising. The event was the first REAL Magazine affair to include a silent auction benefiting the United Way Realtors for Kids Association. Katie Knight, the senior vice president of the United Way of Sarasota County, Inc., gave a wonderful introduction to the organization and the group was brilliantly entertained by the highly talented Children First Choir. The REAL Magazine Realtors for Kids Committee and the event sponsors were introduced. Florida Venture Partners president, Alan Tannenbaum, and vice president, Ivo Jan Travicek, gave an informative presentation on, “The Central and Eastern Europeans Aren’t Coming, They’re Here! Prepare Yourself for the Cultural Change.” The silent auction bidding successfully raised a total of $1,450.00 for the United Way Realtors for Kids Association. The January 16th REAL Magazine event confirmed that the spirit of giving continues into the New Year.
