On Tuesday’s Today Show Barbara Corcoran reported that Sarasota, Florida is the #1 place to buy right now. Prices are down 34% from last year but have seen a 13% increase in price over the previous quarter.

Corcoran made a name for herself by borrowing $1,000 from her boyfriend, quitting her job and starting a real estate company in New York City that grew into a five-billion-dollar real estate business named The Corcoran Group. She sold the business in 2001 for seventy million dollars.
