J.E. Charlotte Construction Completes Children First Renovation
Children First’s Helen R. Payne Center In Newtown Renovated.
J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. has completed the renovation of the oldest day care nursery sites in Sarasota, Florida; the Children First Helen R. Payne Center in Newtown. The facility built in the mid 1950s suffered from outdated electric and plumbing systems, and was in great need for repairs.
On January 29th, at 10am the organization will hold a re-dedication ceremony for the community to preview the renovated facility. Also to recognize the founders and donors and to celebrate the importance of the center to children and families in the area. The re-opening ceremony will take place at the Children First location, 1720 33rd Street, and will include a ribbon cutting with local officials, tours, presentations and refreshments.
The project was made possible by the donations of the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, Roberta Levanthal Sudakoff, Head Start, local community churches in Newtown, the Children First staff and board and J.E. Charlotte Construction, including subcontractors. For more information on Children First visit www.childrtenfirst.net
