January 27, 2011 – Bus Tour By The Historical Society Of Sarasota County

Historical Society Of Sarasota County St Pete Bus Tour.

Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 from 9am – 5pm the Historical Society of Sarasota County will host a historic St Pete bus tour. The bus departs from the Historical Society at 1260 12 Street (Between N. Trail & Cocoanut Ave.) at 9am. There is free parking!

All will travel together in comfort on a luxurious tour bus to St. Petersburg, where everyone will enjoy a tour of the Museum of History.

Then, on to a wonderful trolley ride on the Downtown Looper for an overview of all the historic sites and attractions in downtown St. Petersburg.

The trolley will stop at the Pier, where everyone will lunch together at The Columbia Restaurant.

After lunch, your choice! Join the trolley again and visit one of the attractions (Salvador Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Florida Holocaust Museum, the Chihuly Collection) or just amble around downtown or the Pier. The new Dali Museum is just $10 on Thursdays!

Board the bus at 4pm to return home to the Historical Society by 5pm.
