Clemon Thomas III Bert Rodgers Scholarship Winner.
 
Bert Rodgers Schools of Real Estate announced that Clemon Thomas III of Port Saint Lucie was selected as the winner of its scholarship fund. Thomas will receive a fully paid Sales Associate Pre-License Premium Package and will be reimbursed the fees necessary to obtain a Florida real estate license. Thomas was nominated by Anthony Hester of TNT Realty & Associates in Palm City.

“This scholarship program has been a tremendous success,” said Lori Rodgers, president of Rodgers Schools of Real Estate. “We began this the program as a tribute to my father who founded the school and as a way to give something back to the community. All too often people are prevented from pursuing their dreams because of a lack of financial resources. These scholarships can provide the assistance that people need to build a successful career in real estate and literally change their lives.”

Bert Rodgers Schools instituted its scholarship fund in 2008 in celebration of its 50th anniversary as the state’s leading real estate educator. Two scholarships are awarded annually, one in June and one in December. Qualified applicants must be nominated by an actively licensed Florida broker and must submit a brief essay describing why they deserve the scholarship.

Bert Rodgers Schools provides online resources and support for people looking to earn a Florida real estate license. The course is self-paced, allowing working adults the flexibility to complete the curriculum on their own schedule. The school also offers access to professional staff and instructors who provide toll-free support and an online prep course to help students pass the final state examination. Florida law requires real estate sales associates to pass an approved 63 pre-licensure course in addition to the state examination; brokers must hold an active sales associate license for 24 months and complete an approved 72-hour course and the state examination.
