April 22, 2011 South Florida Museum’s London Calling Film Series
South Florida Museum Presents Georgy Girl.
The South Florida Museum presents Georgy Girl as part of the Film Fridays London Calling series 6pm on April 22, 2011.
(1966) NR (mature subject matter), 99 minutes. Georgy Girl is a bittersweet comedy drama about Georgy (Lynn Redgrave), a slightly overweight, working-class virgin in her early twenties who shares an apartment with the gorgeous, promiscuous Meredith (Charlotte Rampling). Considered fairly bold when it was released in 1966, Georgy Girl is a delightful comedy of sexual manners that does justice to its “Swinging London” setting.
There will be a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. Please note: The theater may be cold, sweaters or jackets are recommended. Admission is $5 General Admission, $3 Member Admission.
Seating is limited; reservations are recommended. For more information and reservations, please contact Amara Cocilovo at 941-746-4131, ext. 11 or via email at acocilovo@southfloridamuseum.org.
