Join Selby Gardens for their glittering holiday celebration Lights In Bloom, December 16-23, 26 & 27, from 6pm to 9pm. The originator of Lights in Bloom, Bob McComb (“Mr. Illuminator”) is bringing new excitement to this glittering holiday event. Selby is adding more flowers, real-life faeries, seven-foot wide butterflies, dragonflies, towering 10-foot birds of paradise, and much more.
• Chanukah Menorah lighting at 7 pm with the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee at the Bromeliad Garden.
• Listen to Kwanzaa story-telling by Dr. Lonnetta Gaines on December 18 at the Bromeliad Garden.
• Mingle with the dancing fairies, Santa and his elves, walk among giant, lit butterflies and flowers, and enjoy the miniature railway and village display.
• Get your face painted at the Kids’ Corner on December 18th.
• Purchase Kids’ “Merry Meals” available for $6 (includes a fun surprise!) Grilled entrees for the entire family at the “Light in Bloom Café” provided by Local Coffee + Tea.
• Visit the Mansion Holiday Showhouse, decorated by ASID designers.
• Jump-start your Holiday Spirit by enjoying Live Holiday Music.
