Cat Depot Tests Innovative Foster Program
Test Program Yields Increased Adoptions At Cat Depot.
Some homeless cats are adopted immediately, while other cats can linger in animal shelters across the nation for months or even years. In an effort to place long term “community cats” (homeless cats living on their own) into loving forever homes, three test cats were placed back-to-back in a series of three foster homes for three weeks each. The results were not only miraculous, but successful. Within a month of returning to Cat Depot, all three cats were adopted.
As a result of this test, Cat Depot is moving forward with another ten long-term cats. Three were recently placed into foster care, and Cat Depot is looking for another seven qualified foster parents.
