Venice Golf And Country Club announced that General Manager Jim Schell was chosen as a finalist for the 2013 Sustainability Best Practice Awards for his commitment to environmentally sound practices.

Schell was nominated in the Large Business and Non-Profit categories and selected as a finalist in Leadership. An independent set of judges experienced and knowledgeable in the fields of sustainability, energy, engineering, green building, corporate social responsibility and government reviewed and scored each nomination. “I am truly honored to be recognized among some of the state’s biggest names in environmental awareness,” said Schell. “This achievement reinforces our ultimate commitment to creating a safer, healthier, higher quality of life for the people of our beautiful community.”
