Longboat Key Mansion Sells For $4.3 Million
Barbara Ackerman Sells Exclusive Country Club Shores Property.
Coldwell Banker announced that Previews Property Specialist Barbara Ackerman sold a $4.3 million waterfront property on Longboat Key. This is the second most expensive Country Club Shores property sold in 2013 and the fifth most expensive sale of the year on Longboat Key.
“This was a tremendous property with loads of unique features, from the car lift and waterfront garage door to the monochromatic blue interior décor and the magnificent entryway,” said Ackerman. “Luxury real estate is booming in Longboat Key, and while this gem has been snapped up, there are still several showcase homes on the market for buyers interested in the Gulf Coast lifestyle.”
The more than 7,000-square-foot Country Club Shores home features a two-story, glass-domed entryway showcasing a beautiful dolphin sculpture with multiple water and light settings. The spacious master suite and study is separate from the three guest rooms upstairs, which all feature marble en-suite baths. Additional highlights include 10 to 15-foot walls of glass overlooking the bay, which are impact resistant to 2001 codes, a custom lighting system, upper level sun terraces, elevator, elaborate crown moldings and hardwood floors throughout. The four-car garage offers a lift and front and back garage doors allowing watercraft to easily access the dock.
The corner property is flanked by 257 feet of waterfront overlooking Sarasota Bay and downtown Sarasota, featuring a private dock with a 30,000 pound boat lift and davit. More than 2,400 square feet of tiered outdoor living spaces provides the ideal setting for lavish Long Boat Key entertaining, including an infinity pool, bubbling spa and overflow lap pool.
