Interior Design Society Hosts 3rd Annual Charity Benefit. The Interior Design Society’s (IDS) Sarasota Chapter presents its third annual Party On The Pass at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron, on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 6 – 10 p.m. Over the last two years, more than $12,000.00 in proceeds from this event, has benefited the Trinity Charities and the Education Foundation of Sarasota County. Prader-WIlli Syndrome Association Hosts Fundraising Dinner. The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association is hosting a fundraising dinner on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at TPC Prestancia in Sarasota. The Association is the nation’s largest support, research, and advocacy organization for people living with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Proceeds of the event will help promote, fund research, provide education, and offer support to enhance the lives of those affected by PWS, as well as support the fight against childhood obesity. Cat Depot Needs Supplies And Volunteers To Rescue Neglected Dogs. Cat Depot’s Emergency Response Team (CDERT) deploys September 22nd at the request of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). CDERT will help care for hundreds of dogs rescued in a multi-state, federal dog fighting raid – the second largest dog fighting bust in United States history. Cat Depot Requested To Assist In Animal Cruelty Rescue. Cat Depot’s Emergency Response Team (CDERT) was requested by the ASPCA to help with a recent animal cruelty case involving the 2nd largest dog fighting raid in US history. CDERT members will be deployed to assist during the week of September 21 through September 29. Since they will be short staffed, extra hands are needed at Cat Depot that week in the mornings for daily cat care duties such as laundry or feeding cats.
