Ringling College To Host Jenny Medved’s Art. Jenny Medved (Class of 2004) is a figurative artist & illustrator based in Sarasota, Florida. Originally from Atlanta, Medved relocated to Florida in 2000 to attend Ringling College where she obtained her BFA in Illustration. Medved holds an MFA in Figurative Painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she studied under Zack Zdrale, William Whitaker and Warren Chang. She also studied traditional portraiture at the Florence Academy of Art, in Florence, Italy. Salt & Light Productions announced the release of a powerful new video they created for Kevin Swan and his non-profit organization, A Life Story Foundation. Their team met Kevin just 17 months after he was diagnosed with ALS. More commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, ALS attacks the brain and spinal cord cells needed to control the muscles in one’s body, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and ultimately, respiratory failure. Berlin Patten Ebling To Host Fundraiser For Alzheimers. Berlin Patten Ebling is hosting a fun happy hour fundraiser to raise funds and awareness as their team prepares for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s slated for November 12th in Sarasota. All proceeds benefit the local Alzheimer’s Association for research and care. Join them for a beer & wine reception, heavy hors d’oeurves, brain games and auction prizes on Thursday October 20th at 5:30pm at their Sarasota office located at 3700 S. Tamiami Trail.
