Help Needy Children Not Go Hungry This Summer. The HuB is hosting a luncheon at The Francis in downtown, Sarasota to raise awareness around the Campaign Against Summer Hunger (SkipALunchLuncheon). Yes, we will be skipping lunch. Why? Because 21,000 kids in Sarasota County will have to skip lunch every day if we are not successful with this campaign. No child should be hungry. Adopt A Cat At A Reduced Rate From Cat Depot. Cat Depot announced that the “cruelty case cats” are now available for adoption at a reduced adoption fee of $50 through April 30, 2014. The discounted fee includes a veterinary exam, microchip, spay and neuter, vaccines, and a starter bag of food. “We are asking the public to open their hearts and give these deserving cats a second chance on life,” said Constance Paras, Director of Operations. “With kitten season right around the corner, Cat Depot is committed to getting these loving cats into permanent homes in the next month.” […]
