Cat Depot Shelters 30 Confiscated Cats. Cat Depot reached out to assist in the care of 30 cats confiscated by Manatee County Animal Services earlier this week from a possible hoarding situation. Emergency sheltering was set up at Cat Depot in preparation of their arrival today. Cat Depot is asking for volunteers to help with daily sheltering care (feeding, cleaning, and socialization). Cat Depot’s Cats Takes To The Gridiron Field. Most are familiar with Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl, this year’s Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl, and now there is The Cat Depot Bowl. Cat Depot has an over abundance of kittens late in the season with 25 from foster homes and another 55 kittens arriving in the next three weeks from Sarasota County Animal Services. Cat Depot’s Emergency Response Team (CDERT) deploys September 22nd at the request of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Cat Depot Requested To Assist In Animal Cruelty Rescue. Cat Depot’s Emergency Response Team (CDERT) was requested by the ASPCA to help with a recent animal cruelty case involving the 2nd largest dog fighting raid in US history. CDERT members will be deployed to assist during the week of September 21 through September 29. Help Celebrate Adopt A Shelter Cat Month. It is kitten season in Sarasota and Cat Depot has rescued over 150 kittens in every color, shape and size. To help them all find homes, Cat Depot is cutting the kitten adoption fee in half through the end of June, 2013.
