Suncoast Charities For Children Thunders. Suncoast Charities for Children announced that 2014’s Thunder by the Bay raised over $150,000 for the charity. For our community the direct and indirect overall economic impact of the Motorcycle Festival was calculated at $7.4 Million (an 8.7% increase from 2013) and generated 5,400 room nights in area lodgings (up from 2,900 in 2013). Thunder By The Bay Rocks! The direct and indirect overall economic impact of 2014’s Thunder By The Bay Motorcycle Festival was calculated at $7.4 Million (8.7% increase from 2013) and 5,400 room nights in area lodgings (up from 2,900 in 2013). Final budget numbers are still being calculated, however, a conservative projection show an increase in net revenue for Suncoast Charities for Children (projected to come in at over $100,000). Suncoast Charities for Children announced that world-renowned custom motorcycle builder Paul Teutul, Sr. (Owner and Founder of Orange County Choppers) will attend this year’s 16th Annual Thunder By The Bay Motorcycle Festival. Sarasota SUP Series Races To Host 2nd Event At Lake Benderson Rowing Center. The second of the Sarasota SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Series races takes place August 24th at Lake Benderson Rowing Center. The second race of the three Sarasota SUP Series events starts at 7:30 AM and runs until 4:00 PM.

Sarasota SUP Series Races To Host 1st Event On Siesta Beach. The first of the Sarasota SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Series races kicks off June 22nd on Siesta Key Beach. The first race of the three Sarasota SUP Series events starts at the north end of the Siesta Key Public Beach by the blue lifeguard tower on Saturday, June 22nd at 9 am.
