Night at the Museum – Art, Music and Movement.
On Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 4-9pm the South Florida Museum will begin celebrating African American History Month. Come explore the creativity of the human spirit with themed art, music and movement. Throughout the evening in the planetarium lobby there will be watercolor workshops and other activities. Creative Percussion will perform at 4:15pm, The African Drum and Dance workshop will begin at 5:30pm in the planetarium.
All ages are welcome, no experience necessary! Enjoy planetarium shows all evening: Live Star Talk at 7:00pm, Two Small Pieces of Glass at 7:30pm, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at 8:15pm. Live manatee presentations in the aquarium will occur at 5:00pm and 6:30pm. Admission is half price after 4pm. Members are always free. Food is always available for a nominal price.
