September 27, 2010 – Pink Heals Tour
Breast Cancer Survivors To Unite For Pink Heals Tour.
On September 27th the “Pink Heals Tour” will arrive in Sarasota. From 10am-11am a pink fire truck parade will take place on Main Street including the Pink Heals trucks, Sarasota County Fire Department, Sarasota County Police Department and breast cancer survivors. At 11am there will be a rally at Marina Jack’s with the 5 pink fire trucks. Afterwards 3 of the pink fire trucks will divert to multiple locations throughout Sarasota, 1 to Bradenton and the last to North Port.
Stops with the 3 Sarasota trucks will include:
• Siesta Key
• St. Armands Circle
• Sarasota Memorial Hospital
• Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
• North County Library: Booker Elementary
• Gold’s Gym
• Bonefish Grill 41
• Hooters
• New Balance
• TBD: Doctor’s Hospital
• Firehouse Subs
• *Westfield Southgate, TBD
The Grand Finale will be all 5 trucks convening at Westfield Mall, Sarasota Square from 6pm-9pm. The mall will host a “Preferred Pink” shopping day w/ a “Pink Passport” and “Pink up the Pace” mall-walker event.
A portion of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the local American Cancer Society, the Sarasota County Firefighter’s Benevolent Fund and “Team Believe” all for breast cancer research, education, patient advocacy & services.

Paint Sarasota Pink with the Pink Heals Tour, September 27, 2010
Please join us and “Paint Sarasota Pink” starting with a parade of Pink firetrucks, our local firefighters, breast cancer survivors, Mary Kay pink mobiles, downtown Main street as downtown merchants adorn their windows with pink breast cancer ribbons in support of breast cancer awareness. Show your support by visiting one of the many locations :
8-9 am “Pink up the Pace” Westfield Sarasota Square starts off with a walk to support “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” $5 donation per walker!
10:11 am Pink Parade down Main Street~
11 am -9 pm in Sarasota: Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, Sarasota Memorial Hospital Health Care System,
Bonefish Grill from 1:30-3:30 special event opening for supporters of the tour! Pink Watermelon Martinis for the adults & Shirley Pink Temples, bang bang shrimp!
Hooter’s will be hosting a “Protect & Serve” firefighter, police department, emergency services day with 20% off our heroes!
New Balance will be offering specials on pink clothing lines! Foxy Lady will be pinking it up for the “Viva la Pink” fashion show that Friday!
Join “Team Believe” as they reach their fundraising goals for 3-day Susan G. Komen walk in October in Tampa @ Gold’s gym with a spin-a-thon,vendors & healthy snacks galore!
Doctor’s Hospital, Firehouse Subs & merchants of St. Armands Circle will be offering a Pink it up discount card for merchants.
Every stop will have our local firefighters & American Cancer Society volunteers promoting our new 2011-2012 “Our Heroes in Pink” firefighter calendars with our local heroes(firefighters & cancer survivors adorned in pink) with proceeds to benefit “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer & the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent Fund”
GRAND FINALE @ Westfield Sarsaota Square
Purchase a $5 “Pink Passport” from Clear Channel in the center promenade adorned with pink flowers , our firefighters, Hope2 Golf cart for raffle..get your passport punched with @ least 5 participating merchants & enter for a $500 shopping spree & $500 donation in your name to the American Cancer Society/Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
“Build-a-Bear” for a cure with custom Making Strides Against Breast Cancer tees, buy a Pink Hope bear…15% of proceeds to Making Strides AGainst Breast Cancer; gift cards available before the event! Auntie Anne’s will be offering a free “PINK” lemonade with pretzel purchase; Charley’s, Yankee Candle, Lee’s flowers, etc. will all be involved!
