Lee Wetherington Homes Breaks Ground On Sarezzo II.
 
Even before the shovel hit the dirt for the new Sarezzo II model, a larger version of the multi-award-winning Sarezzo by Lee Wetherington Homes, it was sold. Recently the company also sold its Mira Vista II model, another award-winner. Both are in Country Club East in Lakewood Ranch. The Sarezzo II is being built in Secret Harbor while the Mira Vista II is in Valderrama. 
 
The two models that were sold are larger versions of each home’s basic design, with the Mira Vista II model at 2,334 square feet and the Sarezzo II model at 3,200 square feet. Lee Wetherington, president of the company that he founded more than 30 years ago, notes that his firm had responded to the economic downturn by offering three “right-sized” designs smaller basic models with flexible floor plans that still include the high quality, green building practices and energy awareness that are part of “The Wetherington Difference.” He states those designs have continued to sell well and he is also encouraged by the latest sales.
 
 Of the new Sarezzo II, Wetherington says, “We’re taking a winning design and making it even more exciting.” The new home, which has lake and golf course views, retains all the features that garnered Parade of Homes awards (Best Kitchen, Best Floor Plan, Best Architectural Detail, Best Overall), but with increased living space on the first floor and a redesigned outdoor living area.
 
The Sarezzo II is a great room plan that also includes a separate dining room, den, secluded master suite and 2.5 baths on the ground floor, as well as an elegant outdoor living room with screened pool, spa and fire pit. The optional second floor provides a 460-square-foot private retreat with screened veranda and half-bath. In the model, the upstairs is being built as a game room or media room; another flex allows this space to become a fourth bedroom. A three-car garage and storage area provide additional space for the home owner.
 
Standard features in the Sarezzo II and Mira Vista II include granite kitchen countertops, custom kitchen cabinetry with raised panel wood doors, under-cabinet lights in the kitchen, a GE appliance package, spacious walk-in closets, GE series structured wiring media system, 8-foot high interior doors, 7 ¼-inch painted crown molding in common areas and 5 ¼” decorative wood base throughout. 
 
The basic Sarezzo II in Country Club East is priced from the mid-$400s, including homesite.
