Winterfest Music Festival Enters 2nd Year. Winterfest 2015 will be held February 28, 2015 at Lakewood Ranch’s Premier Sports Campus on Post Road in Lakewood Ranch. The music festival, in its second year, will feature top-shelf national and local musical acts of all different types. New Management Comes To Sarasota Polo Club. Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Inc. (SMR) announced that Tom Hughes was named Director of Polo Operations for the Sarasota Polo Club at Lakewood Ranch. Hughes brings with him 50 years of experience managing polo clubs, including the Oak Brook, Glendale and Naperville polo clubs in Illinois, the Milwaukee Polo Club in Wisconsin, and the Greenwich Polo Club in Connecticut. Laxpalooza At Premier Sports Campus. The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch will host the Laxpalooza lacrosse tournament over Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, 2014. This event is competitive, yet fun, safe and memorable, and will host both boys and girls at all levels in the Southeast Region. More than 35 teams and some 2,000 people are expected to attend the tournament. Teams will be able to compete against other teams from all states including Florida, Georgia, and the southeast region, along with several teams traveling from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. Lakewood Ranch will host the 45th Annual Devereaux-Kaiser Antique Car Show from 8am-3pm January 26, 2014 on Rangeland Parkway (I75 to 70E N on Lakewood Ranch Blvd).
