America’s Most Expensive Home Sells
April Is The Month for A $120 Million Deal.
Soon after the $102 million sale of the Fleur de Lys in Los Angeles, CA, Copper Beech Farm in Greenwich, CT, the most-expensive single-family home in the United States to ever list publicly, has sold for a staggering $120 million.
After debuting on the market for a then-record $190 million in May 2013, Copper Beech Farm dropped in the months that followed. First a $50 million price cut in July and then a $10 million adjustment this past January.
Occupying 50 private acres in Greenwich, Copper Beech Farm features 4,000 feet of private frontage on Long Island Sound, a pair of offshore islands, and a 15,000-square-foot mansion built in 1896 with Victorian and French Renaissance influences.
