Artists Carla Poindexter And Dolores Coe Visit Allyn Gallup’s. Alllyn Gallup Contemporary Art is hosting an artists reception Friday, December 13, 2013, from  6pm – 8pm. On hand will be artists Carla Poindexter and Dolores Coe. Carla Poindexter Above the Planet Through A Microscope The exhibit features paintings and works on paper. December 7, 1941 Day Of Infamy

Remember Pearl Harbor. The Day of Infamy that launched the epic conflict with Japan took place at Pearl Harbor in the early morning hours of December 7, 1941. The tranquil waters of Pearl Harbor were forever disrupted by the tides of war. That morning all 8 U.S. Navy battleships were damaged, with 4 sunk. The Japanese also sank or damaged 3 cruisers, 3 destroyers, 1 anti-aircraft training ship, and 1 minelayer. 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed. 2,402 Americans were killed (The Arizona 1,177) and 1,282 wounded.
