Five full time employees managed over 42,400 volunteer hours last year building homes and managing ReStore. Habitat Sarasota has placed over 200 mortgage paying families into homes. Habitat Sarasota’s ReStores keep one million pounds of usable products out of our landfills every year by cleaning, recycling and re-selling donated goods.
Our paths crossed via the suggestion of Charlotte Hedge. Fate intervened and our organizations became entwined when Holly Dennis placed the “Can you help?” call. That led to the gala event celebrating the opening of Habitat Sarasota’s second ReStore location that netted over $10,000. We are “Raising Roofs”!

Habitat For Humanity Sarasota ReStore Grand Opening Gala Event. REAL Magazine’s gala grand opening event for Habitat for Humanity Sarasota’s second ReStore was a huge success netting over $10,000 for Habitat Sarasota.
Habitat For Humanity Sarasota Benefits From SAR Benevolence. Habitat for Humanity Sarasota received a $25,000 grant from The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc. The grant was made possible through the Sarasota Association of Realtors’ (SAR) Affordable Housing Fund.
