Chicago Title Names University Title Tops In Sarasota/Manatee Area.

Lakewood Ranch’s University Title is Chicago Title’s top agent in the Sarasota/Manatee region. The firm estimates close to 65 closings for the month of November. University Title Services is a licensed agent for Chicago Title, the nation’s largest title underwriter. The licensed University Title Services staff has over 50 years combined settlement experience. University Title specializes in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including new home transactions from builders and resale transactions with REALTORS®.

University Title has maintained the number one position in 2006, ‘07, ‘08 and year- to- date in ‘09. This month the title company is seeing a 100% increase in closings from this time last year. “The last few months we have seen the market kind of bouncing around at the bottom, and now we believe to finally be well up from the bottom,” said William Partlow, Chicago Title’s district manager. “In the last 60-90 days we have seen a real paradigm shift where people are now willing to buy new.”

Partlow gives all the credit to University Title Vice President, Cassandra Grassman, a 29 year title veteran. Grassman started University Title Company and Schroeder Manatee Ranch bought it in 2005. Partlow cites her top notch customer service and professionalism for bringing in referrals and a strong following.

Chicago Title has 5,500 agents nationwide, and is very selective in recruiting its agents. “The ones who have remained in the business,” said Partlow, “are the best agents. A good closer is like a conductor of an orchestra—they have to keep everything in tune and keep track of all the moving parts.”
