Sarasota Opera Announces Line-Up For Remaining HD Series. Sarasota Opera announced the expansion of its new broadcast and film series called “HD at the Opera House”. This new series is allowing Sarasota Opera to expand its programming from the fall and winter season to year-around. In addition to opera, the series will include ballet and theater from some of the world’s most famous venues. All showings will occur in the William E. Sarasota Seminole Club Supports Habitat For Humanity. Members of the Sarasota Seminole Club took time out from their schedules recently to work on two current Habitat Sarasota housing projects, all the efforts were part of Seminole Service Day. The group of 20 divided their time and energy on Habitat’s first Veteran Build house and on another work in progress on Seward Street in Sarasota. Suncoast Charities For Children Thunders. Suncoast Charities for Children announced that 2014’s Thunder by the Bay raised over $150,000 for the charity. For our community the direct and indirect overall economic impact of the Motorcycle Festival was calculated at $7.4 Million (an 8.7% increase from 2013) and generated 5,400 room nights in area lodgings (up from 2,900 in 2013). Suncoast Charities for Children has constructed over $14 Million in facilities (totaling 73,000 square feet) serving children with special needs.
